CareSync
In 2019, major changes to Michigan’s No-Fault Auto Insurance laws drastically cut caregiving services and medical coverage for survivors of traumatic automotive accidents, creating severe hardships and even fatalities. Those with serious injuries, particularly Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI), often lack essential resources while survivors, families, and caregivers struggle to meet urgent, life-altering needs. To address these gaps, Lauren Pettinga and I created CareSync, a digital platform developed with Coalition Protecting Auto No Fault (CPAN), survivors, and caregivers. CareSync provides a resource guide on No-Fault and Andary laws, tools to access vetted care services, and a community forum that connects survivors, caregivers, and professionals—ensuring people with life-altering injuries receive the support and care they need.
